A new a parody play of Fifty Shades of Grey “ Fifty Shades! The Musical “ It opened to long lines at Chicago’s Apollo Theater last month,

and now it is making its way to New York  on January 11 and 12 at the Gramercy Theatre on East 23rd Street , DailyMail reports .

——————

Fifty Shades! The Musical has arrived, and while it is an unofficial parody of E.L James’ bestselling erotic romance novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, it is already becoming a hit across America.

Created by a comedy troupe called Baby Wants Candy, the musical is full of dance numbers, with a live band backing the performance of 11 original songs with titles like, ‘They Get Nasty’, ‘I Don’t Make Love, I F#*!, and ‘There’s a Hole Inside of Me’.

The musical starts with a ladies’ book club that has decided to read Fifty Shades of Grey, and then the audience sees what they are reading more or less come to life.

According to the Chicago Tribune’s Chris Jones, the show is ‘a little collection of modestly amusing sketches and original songs, partly celebrating the daring raunch of the original book, and partly lampooning its central characters.

The actor playing Christian Grey, the studly hero of the book, has a potbelly for example.

Everyone kept their clothes on, mercifully, but dirty songs abounded,‘ the Chicago Tribune commented.

‘A couple of male dancers showed up and cavorted a little in the background. ‘[But] that’s not enough for all these women in the audience, I thought to myself. They’re looking for more.’

“Shades of Grey” song by Delilah

Fiftyshades fan : October 10, 2012 11:01 am : fifty Music

Did you know there is a song named “Shades of Grey”?….well i didnt :D..thanks to @Fifty ShadesFilm..I listened to it many times and all i can say that it just fits Christian and Ana relationship completely, taking us through their journey together :)

Listen and tell us what you think:-

Shades Of Grey lyrics

Thought it was love, memories scope the lies

That lead me far from here, here, far from here

Trying hard to silence all you say but

You stay in my ear, you stay in my ear

Because everything you didn’t want

Became a part of me

All the things you asked for

I just could not see

Everything you are, everything you are

Everything you are, left a broken heartbeat

[Chorus]

Through the darkest shades of grey

I see beauty in the rain

I find myself, I find myself

Go and… go and free walk alone in the night

Through the darkest shades of grey

I see beauty in the rain

… light, call out to a stranger and I

But it was youuuhuuu, youuuhuuu

Sleeping alone I cried out, for you in my dream

No matter how hard I try to change you

You won’t change with me

Because everything you didn’t want

Became a part of me

All the things you asked for

I just could not see

Everything you are, everything you are

Everything you are, left a broken heartbeat

[Chorus]

Through the darkest shades of grey

I see beauty in the rain

I find myself, I find myself

Go and… go and free walk alone in the night

Through the darkest shades of grey

I see beauty in the rain

… light, call out to a stranger and I

So let me run away, run away now

I got to run away, run away

I’m gonna run away, run away

So let me run away, run away now

Watch me run away, run away now

I’m gonna run away, run away

So watch me run away, run away now

[Chorus]

Through the darkest shades of grey

I see beauty in the rain

I find myself, I find myself

Go and… go and free walk alone in the night

Through the darkest shades of grey

I see beauty in the rain

… light, call out to a stranger and I

But it was youuuhuuu, youuuhuuu

Inner Goddess : September 25, 2012 9:22 am : fifty Music

A new compilation inspired by author E.L. James’ erotic novel series Fifty Shades Of Grey has topped the classical music charts in the U.S.

Fifty Shades of Grey: The Classical Album has debuted at number one on the Billboard Classical Albums Chart, outselling the rest of the top 80 combined.

James herself curated the album, using 15 pieces of music from composers like Bach and Chopin that she referenced in the book trilogy.

The author insists classical music is a vital part of her book, and essential to her leading man, billionaire Christian Grey.

She says, “For Christian, I think he found that music healed his soul as a young child… It’s where he finds some peace, through music.”

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ The Classic album tops classical-music chart

Fiftyshades fan : September 20, 2012 3:51 am : fifty Music

“Fifty Shades of Grey” continues to rake in the dough, and not just through book sales…

The classical-music album that was spawned from the racy bestselling trilogy of novels has taken the No. 1 spot this week on the Nielsen Soundscan classical albums chart :)

“Fifty Shades of Grey: The Classical Album” features Baroque, choral and operatic pieces that are referenced in the novels. The album was released last week on Capitol Records and includes 15 tracks selected by author E.L. James.

“Fifty” came in at No. 1 on the Nielsen classical-album chart for the week ending Sept. 16. It beat out “Il Volo … Takes Flight,” from the popular operatic-pop group, which came in second place for the week.

The “Fifty” album spotlights the music of Thomas Tallis, the 16th century English composer. His sacred work “Spem in Alium” plays in important role in the novel. The album also includes such familiar classical standards as Pachabel’s Canon in D and the “Flower Duet” from Delibes’ opera “Lakme.”..

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ heads to Broadway

Fiftyshades fan : September 12, 2012 10:40 am : fifty Music

The best-selling novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” is getting new life–on Broadway! The show will open in summer 2013, its producers said. A theater, dates and casting have yet to be set.No official announcement on casting has been made, although the rumor around town is that Daniel Radcliffe will star as Christian Grey.

Plans to adapt the book have been going on for months.  Original plans for a movie starring Dustin Diamond, best known for his work as Screech on the 1990s show “Saved by the Bell,” fell through after producers realized Screech was not just a nickname……..

The musical adaptation will feature an assortment of original songs performed and composed by Randy Newman…Such songs as “Thinking About (Whipping) You” and “Flog Me Maybe” will explore the twisted psyche of Christian Grey, said Newman…Other songs like “Tied Up,” “Hurts So Good,” and “Is That a Whip, or Are You Happy to See Me?” delve into Anastasia Steele’s naivety.

Fifty Shades Comedy Song (‘Fifty Shades of Grey Have Taken Her Away)

Fiftyshades fan : September 11, 2012 8:53 am : fifty Music

A New comdy song based on Fifty Shades of grey by Chris Ward …According to him , he wrote this song after reading the book . It’s about a man who’s wife won’t stop reading the book…..entitled ‘Fifty Shades of Grey (Have Taken Her Away)’….A very very lovely and hilarious song :D .I hope E L James will find it as entertaining as we did.:)

Lyrics:

Well I am just a simple man and I lead a simple life
But lately I’ve been wondering what’s happened to my wife
She used to keep me company – we used to do OK
But now it seems she’s left me for a man called Christian Grey
She’s upstairs in the bedroom, I’m down here on my own
I hear the heavy breathing and a loud ecstatic moan
You’d swear she had a man up there but every time I look
She’s underneath the covers with that bloody book.

Fifty Shades of Grey have taken her away
Each and every day – reading Fifty Shades of Grey

She went down to her mother’s, I went through all the drawers.
I found that bloody book and read it till my eyes were sore
And even though the story was too silly to be real
I followed the shenanigans of Anastasia Steele
For those who have not read it perhaps I should explain
This book comes with a message – ‘there’s pleasure in the pain’
So tie me to the bedpost, get out your whips and chains
And let’s all have a party – reading E.L. James

Fifty Shades of Grey have taken her away
Each and every day – reading Fifty Shades of Grey

I went onto the internet and I was quite surprised
At all the different places selling kinky merchandise
So I got out my credit card there was no time to waste
I ordered everything I could, delivery with haste
I bought restraints and handcuffs and all kind of bondage gear
Some paddles and some nipple clamps, I think you get the idea
And when it was delivered I wrapped it all in red
Tied it with a ribbon and left it on the bed

Fifty Shades of Grey have taken her away
Each and every day – reading Fifty Shades of Grey

She came back from her mother’s, she went upstairs to change
Then she came back down again looking very strange
She came right out and asked me – ‘was that really you’?
And when I told her ‘Yes’ she said – ‘my God I never knew
That you like pina colada and walking in the rain
Standing by the ocean, knocking back champagne!’
Now upstairs in the bedroom we’re at it every night
And I may not be Christian Grey but I think we’re doing alright

Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades of Grey
Fifty Shades, Fifty Shades, Fifty Shades of Grey

It helps to keep life interesting I think you will agree
But who is doing what to whom remains a mystery…..

Fifty Shades of Grey – another game to play
Fifty Shades of Grey -what more can I say?

(Laters Babe)

you can get the song from iTunes Here or from CD Baby here…
